Keep Your Kids Stylish This Autumn

As the dark nights draw in, it is clear autumn is on its way. So now’s the time to pack away the bright summer dresses and block-coloured shorts and fill your kids’ wardrobes with the latest fashion trends for the colder months.

  • Tie dye

Tie-dye became one of the most common activities to keep your children busy during lockdowns, which is why the style has become immensely popular over the last few months. Whether you opt for tie-dye T-shirts, bags, accessories, shoes or dresses, the hippie look will remain throughout autumn.

  • Denim

Let’s face it, denim is always a staple in any child’s (or adult’s) wardrobe, but if your little one doesn’t like the feel of jeans, why not go for something a little different?

Denim dresses are going to be huge, teamed with berry-coloured tights and a long-sleeved top underneath. Alternatively, denim skirts and shirts will be a hit, whether your child wears them with tan ankle boots or a warm shacket with a shearling collar.

A trend that will pass over to children this season is ‘mum jeans’. Forget skinny jeggings, your children will want high-waisted, baggy denim with rolled turn-ups.

  • Neutral tones

Most of your children’s clothes will probably be brightly coloured, covered in glitter, or with a bold character printed on the front. However, this autumn is all about natural textiles and neutral tones.

Swap their sequinned dress for burnt orange dungarees; replace their red hoody for a cream-coloured knitted cardy; and make sure fur, velvet, or wool features heavily in their wardrobe.
